- In the quarter to Jun 2026, Internet Ticketing earned ₹248 crore from convenience fees and ₹113 crore of non-convenience fee revenue, from sources such as advertising, agents, payment gateway services and loyalty programmes.3132
Plants and capacity
- IRCTC had 20 Rail Neer plants at the end of March 2026. Its presentation of 21 Aug 2026 lists 5 run by itself and 15 by private partners, 19 of them operational; management said on 13 Aug 2026 that a plant had closed.333435

- On its earnings call of 13 Aug 2026, the company said catering margins have traditionally been 10% to 12%, and that the 9.29% margin in the quarter to Jun 2026 partly reflected staff costs that would not recur.40
Litigation and regulatory matters
- As of its annual report of 7 Sep 2026, IRCTC was contesting a GST claim that it did not cut Rail Neer's price when tax rates fell, arguing the Ministry of Railways fixes it; a July 2026 tribunal hearing has no outcome in the documents.41
- As of its annual report of 7 Sep 2026, licensees were contesting a 2019 Railway Board catering tariff rise in High Courts and arbitration, so the higher licence fees for Nov 2019 to Mar 2020 and Nov 2021 to Mar 2025 were not booked.42
