About Acutaas Chemicals

Acutaas Chemicals Limited is a specialty chemicals company with its registered office at GIDC Sachin, Surat, in Gujarat. It runs four business verticals: advanced pharmaceutical intermediates, semiconductor chemicals, battery chemicals and commodity chemicals. It began in 2004 as a partnership firm and was incorporated in 2007.

The pharmaceutical intermediates business started by supporting an innovator molecule and then expanded into generic pharmaceutical intermediates. It also works with customers as a contract manufacturer and developer (CMO/CDMO). Semiconductor chemicals come from Baba Fine Chemicals in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a partnership firm in which the company holds 55% of the partnership rights. It makes photoresist chemicals. The battery chemicals vertical makes the electrolyte additives Vinylene Carbonate and Fluoroethylene Carbonate at Jhagadia, where the first phase was inaugurated on 19 January 2026.

Manufacturing sites are at Sachin, Ankleshwar and Jhagadia in Gujarat, and at Greater Noida. A fifth site is under construction at Gongju in South Korea. It belongs to Indichem Inc., a joint venture with South Korea's J & Materials Co. Ltd., in which the company's wholly owned subsidiary Acutaas Advance Material Limited holds 75%. The company has more than 1,000 employees and a research team of more than 130 people.

It acquired the Ankleshwar and Jhagadia units from Gujarat Organics Ltd. in 2021, and Baba Fine Chemicals in 2023, which marked its entry into semiconductor chemicals. Its founder, Naresh Patel, is its chairman and managing director.

Written from the annual report for the year to Mar 2026, filed 29 Aug 2026 and the investor presentation.

Yearly rates to Mar 2026, per-share figures restated for splits and bonuses.

Return is price growth plus the average dividend yield. Change in P/E is (1 + price growth) / (1 + earnings growth) - 1, so the parts compound rather than add. Earnings growth over 1 year is on profit divided by shares in issue at both ends: the earnings per share stated for one end does not match that year's profit and share count.
