About Ola Electric Mobility

Ola Electric Mobility Limited makes electric two-wheelers and lithium-ion battery cells in India. Its vehicle range spans electric scooters and motorcycles across value and performance segments. The vehicles run on MoveOS, a vehicle operating system the company developed itself. It was incorporated in 2017.

The company's products span electric mobility, household storage, distributed commercial infrastructure and large-format energy storage, all built on one common cell platform. Shakti is its distributed energy-storage portfolio. At the household level it addresses power backup for houses and storage alongside rooftop-solar connections, and larger Shakti formats serve telecom towers, petrol pumps and quick-commerce dark stores. Mahashakti extends the portfolio to larger systems for data centres, factories and independent power producers.

Vehicles are made at the Ola Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, which has an installed production capacity of 1 million electric two-wheelers a year. Battery cells are made at the Ola Gigafactory, also in Tamil Nadu. Beyond its own vehicles and storage products, the company is developing sales of its cells to automotive and industrial manufacturers, defence and drone applications.

In its history, the company inaugurated the Futurefactory and launched the S1 electric scooter, introduced MoveOS, and listed on Indian stock exchanges. It later moved into motorcycles with the Roadster family. Its 4680 Bharat Cell has since entered commercial deployment, and the Shakti storage product has been launched.

Written from the annual report for the year to Mar 2026, filed 8 Sep 2026 and the investor presentation.

Where the return came from

Yearly rates to Mar 2026, per-share figures restated for splits and bonuses.

OverReturn a yearEarnings growthChange in P/EDividend yield
1 year−57.0%––0.0%
Return is price growth plus the average dividend yield. Change in P/E is (1 + price growth) / (1 + earnings growth) - 1, so the parts compound rather than add. Earnings growth and the change in P/E are left empty where earnings per share at either end of the window was a loss or is not on record. Earnings growth over 1 year is on profit divided by shares in issue at both ends: the earnings per share stated for one end does not match that year's profit and share count.
