About JM Financial Mutual Fund schemes

JM Financial Mutual Fund is the mutual fund of JM Financial Limited, one of India's older fund houses, set up in 1994. Its schemes are run by JM Financial Asset Management Limited and overseen by JM Financial Trustee Company Private Limited, and span equity, hybrid and debt funds.

Sponsor, trustee and AMC

JM Financial Limited sponsors the fund, which it set up as a trust under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, together with J.M. Financial and Investment Consultancy Services Private Limited. JM Financial Trustee Company Private Limited holds the investors' assets in trust and oversees the fund, and JM Financial Asset Management Limited, the asset management company (AMC), makes the investment decisions.

The AMC and the trustee company were incorporated on 9 Jun 1994, the trust deed was executed on 1 Sep 1994, and SEBI registered the fund on 15 Sep 1994 under number MF/015/94/8.

Schemes it runs

The house runs equity schemes (flexi cap, large cap, large and mid cap, mid cap, small cap, focused, value and an ELSS tax saver), hybrid schemes (aggressive hybrid, arbitrage and multi asset allocation) and debt schemes from overnight and liquid funds to medium to long duration. It has no index funds or ETFs among its live schemes, so this page groups them under equity, hybrid and debt only, and links each category to its own page.

How returns and size are shown

Each scheme row shows its NAV, the price of one unit, along with its category and its expense ratio, the yearly fee as a share of the fund's assets. Returns over 1, 3 and 5 years are for the plan the scheme's own page leads with, usually the Direct plan, and the 3 and 5 year figures are annualised, a yearly compounded rate.

The assets managed figure is the average over the latest quarter, added across the house's funds. Where one fund holds units of another fund of the same house, that money is counted once.

Fund managers

The manager table lists each person who runs the house's funds, with the number of funds, the money in them and the earliest date they began managing one of its funds. A co-managed fund is counted under every manager who runs it.

Complaints and voting

For the latest month the page shows investor complaints received, resolved and still open at month end; open complaints include those carried over from earlier months. For voting, it shows the company meetings and resolutions on which the house's funds voted in the latest quarter, and how many votes were against or abstained. A resolution voted on by several of the house's funds is counted once.
