About Kajaria Ceramics
Kajaria Ceramics makes and sells tiles and bathware in India. It began as a tile manufacturer and now also sells sanitaryware, faucets and tile adhesives. Its tiles include ceramic floor tiles, polished vitrified tiles and glazed vitrified tiles. Tiles reach buyers through more than 1,800 dealers.
Tiles are made at plants in Sikandrabad in Uttar Pradesh, Gailpur and Malootana in Rajasthan, and Srikalahasti in Andhra Pradesh. Further tile plants in Morbi in Gujarat, Balanagar in Telangana and Nepal are run through subsidiaries and joint ventures. The Morbi plants belong to Kajaria Vitrified Private Limited, Kajaria Infinity Private Limited and Kajaria Surfaces Private Limited. The Balanagar plant belongs to South Asian Ceramics Tiles Private Limited, and the Nepal plant to Kajaria Ramesh Tiles Limited, a joint venture.
Bathware is sold under the Kerovit brand and covers sanitaryware and faucets. Tile adhesives are made at Gailpur in Rajasthan and at a plant in Erode, Tamil Nadu, set up through Kajaria Adhesive Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary.
The company was founded in 1985 by Ashok Kajaria. In 2011 it began taking majority stakes in tile plants in western and southern India, an asset-light approach that cut capital spending and the time needed to start production. Chetan Kajaria is its Vice Chairman and Rishi Kajaria its Managing Director. Its registered office is in Gurugram, Haryana, and its corporate office is in New Delhi.
