R R Kabel Limited manufactures and markets wires and cables and fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure customers. It sells in India and in more than 66 countries. It was incorporated in 1995. Its registered office is in Worli, Mumbai, and its corporate office is in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The business has two product groups. The wires and cables group covers house wires, industrial wires, power cables, specialty cables and solar cables. The FMEG group covers fans, lighting, switches, switchgear, appliances and kitchen appliances. RR Signature is the premium sub-brand, offering designer fans, decorative lighting and kitchen appliances. The company produces PVC, LS0H and XLPE insulation compounds in-house. It sells through more than 2,15,000 retailers and runs a loyalty programme with more than 6,65,000 electricians enrolled.
The company operates five manufacturing facilities, at Waghodia, Silvassa, Roorkee, Bengaluru and Gagret. Wires and cables are made at Waghodia and Silvassa, and FMEG products at Roorkee, Bengaluru and Gagret.
Mahendrakumar Kabra joined the board on 6 February 1995 and is now Managing Director. Mahhesh Kabra and Rajesh Kabra are Joint Managing Directors. The company's executive directors are promoters or members of its promoter group. A promoter is the person or group that set up a company or controls it.
