About Concord Biotech

Concord Biotech Limited develops and manufactures fermentation-based active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), finished formulations, and contract development and manufacturing services (CDMO). It serves more than 300 customers in over 70 countries. Its CDMO and contract research services support pharmaceutical innovators and generic manufacturers. Its products cover immunosuppressants, oncology, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal therapies.

The business has two main lines. The API portfolio has more than 30 fermentation-based products. The formulations line covers oral solid dosage products and injectable medicines made at its Valthera facility. Formulations are sold largely in India through government and corporate hospitals and distribution networks. In the US and in emerging markets in Asia, Africa and Latin America, the company sells through distributors.

The registered office and a plant are at Trasad Road, Dholka, in Ahmedabad district. Unit I at Dholka is the API facility, Unit II is a formulation facility, and Unit IV at Valthera makes injectables. Its facilities have been inspected by regulators including the USFDA, EU GMP and PMDA (Japan). A team of 180 scientists works on research and development.

It was incorporated in 1984. It has a wholly owned subsidiary, Concord Lifegen Limited, set up to strengthen marketing, sales and distribution. It also holds a 75% stake in Stellon Biotech Inc., a United States subsidiary that markets and distributes its products.

Sudhir Vaid, the Chairman and Managing Director, and his son Ankur Vaid, the Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, are the company's promoters. A promoter is the person or group that set up a company or controls it.

Written from the annual report for the year to Mar 2026, filed 7 Jul 2026 and the investor presentation.
