About Helios Mutual Fund schemes

Helios Mutual Fund is the mutual fund sponsored by Helios Capital Management Pte. Ltd. of Singapore and run by Helios Capital Asset Management (India) Private Limited. SEBI registered it on 10 Aug 2023. It runs equity, hybrid and debt schemes.

Sponsor, trustee and AMC

Helios Capital Management Pte. Ltd., a Singapore investment firm Samir Arora founded in 2005, is the sponsor that set up the fund as a trust. Helios Trustee Private Limited, the trustee company, holds the schemes' assets for unit holders and oversees the fund. Helios Capital Asset Management (India) Private Limited, incorporated on 21 May 2021, is the asset management company (AMC) that runs the schemes. Dinshaw Irani is its managing director and chief executive officer.

When Helios Mutual Fund started

The trust deed is dated 1 Mar 2023, and SEBI registered the fund on 10 Aug 2023 as MF/079/23/05. Its first offer, for Helios Overnight Fund, opened on 19 Oct 2023. Its funds have short histories, so the 5 year return column is empty and the 3 year column mostly so.

Schemes Helios runs

The page groups the funds by type: equity, hybrid and debt. The equity funds are Flexi Cap, Mid Cap, Small Cap, Large & Mid Cap and a Financial Services fund, which is a sectoral fund. The hybrid funds are a Balanced Advantage fund and an Arbitrage fund. The debt fund is an Overnight fund.

SEBI's category rules set what each must hold. A flexi cap fund invests at least 65% in equity, spread over large, mid and small companies in any mix. Mid cap and small cap funds invest at least 65% in companies of that size. A large and mid cap fund holds at least 35% in each of the two groups. A sectoral fund invests at least 80% in one sector. An arbitrage fund buys shares in the cash market and sells the same shares in the futures market to earn the price gap, with at least 65% of assets in equity. An overnight fund holds debt that matures in one day.

Each row shows the NAV, the price of one unit, the fund's size and its cost, the yearly expense ratio charged to investors. Returns use the Direct plan, the version with no distributor commission, where a fund has one.

Fund managers, complaints and votes

The managers table adds up the latest month's assets of every fund a manager runs now; a fund with two managers counts in full for each. Since is the earliest start date the fund house files for that manager on any of its funds.

Complaints show the latest month's count received, resolved and still open at month end, including any carried over. Votes count each resolution once, however many Helios funds voted.
