About Edelweiss Mutual Fund schemes

Edelweiss Mutual Fund is the mutual fund of the Edelweiss group, sponsored by Edelweiss Financial Services Limited and run by Edelweiss Asset Management Limited. Registered with SEBI on 30 Apr 2008, it offers equity, hybrid and debt schemes and a large range of index funds, ETFs and funds of funds.

Sponsor, trustee and AMC

Like every Indian mutual fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund is a trust. Edelweiss Financial Services Limited, the sponsor, set it up under a trust deed of 30 Jan 2008. Edelweiss Trusteeship Company Limited, the trustee, holds the schemes' assets for unit holders and oversees the asset management company (AMC), Edelweiss Asset Management Limited, which makes the investment decisions. The AMC was incorporated on 23 Aug 2007, and the fund is registered with SEBI as MF/057/08/02.

On 25 Nov 2016 the fund took over the schemes of JPMorgan Mutual Fund, and the AMC became their investment manager. Edelweiss Financial Services and its nominees hold 80.5% of the AMC.

Schemes it runs

This page groups the live schemes under four headings: equity, hybrid, debt, and index funds, ETFs and funds of funds. The last is the largest group. It holds the Bharat Bond ETFs, each named for the month and year in which its bonds mature, with a fund of funds beside each, plus gilt and state bond index funds and overseas funds of funds.

A new fund offer (NFO) is the first sale of units of a new scheme. When one is open, the page shows its opening and closing dates and the minimum amount.

Returns, size and cost

Each row gives the NAV (the price of one unit), the size, the cost (the yearly expense ratio) and returns over 1, 3 and 5 years. Returns use the Direct plan where a fund has one, and the 3 and 5 year figures are yearly compounded rates.

Assets managed, at the top, is the quarter's average across the house's funds. Money its funds of funds place in its other funds is counted once.

Fund managers

The manager table lists each person who runs the house's funds, with the number of funds, the money in them and the date they began managing one. A fund run by two managers counts in full for each, so the totals across managers add up to more than the house's assets.

Complaints and voting

For the latest month the page shows investor complaints received, resolved and still open at month end, including any carried over. For voting, it shows the company meetings and resolutions on which the house's funds voted in the latest quarter, and how many votes were against or abstained. A resolution voted on by several of the house's funds is counted once.
