About Gillette India

Gillette India Limited manufactures and sells branded packaged fast moving consumer goods in the grooming and oral care businesses. Its brands include Gillette, Braun and Oral-B. Its products reach consumers through distributors, modern retail stores, canteen stores, pharmacies and e-commerce platforms.

The grooming business covers razors and blades under the Gillette name, including Guard, Mach3, Fusion, Labs and Venus, along with shaving foams and creams. Venus is the brand for female grooming. The oral care business has two lines: Power Oral Care, which includes electric toothbrushes, and Manual Oral Care.

In the year to March 2026 the company launched Gillette Guard 3-in-1, a razor with three platinum-coated blades, and a Sensitive Care range of toothbrushes with softer bristles, along with kids battery toothbrushes featuring characters such as Iron Man and Princess Moana.

The registered office is in Mumbai, and the company has a pan-India presence. The company runs two manufacturing plants, one at Bhiwadi in Rajasthan and one at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. Its products are sold across India, in 28 states and 8 union territories. In the year to March 2026 it also exported products to 17 countries.

It was incorporated in 1984. The Procter & Gamble Company of the United States acquired it in 2005, and it is now a subsidiary of that company. It uses technology and research and development from Procter & Gamble and its subsidiaries for the products it makes.

Written from the annual report for the year to Mar 2026, filed 8 Aug 2026.
