About Jain Resource Recycling

Jain Resource Recycling Limited is an Indian recycler of non-ferrous metals (metals other than iron) that turns lead, copper and aluminium scrap into lead and lead alloy ingots, copper and copper ingots, and aluminium alloys.1 Its main recycling plants are at Gummidipoondi, Chennai, and it sells to makers of lead-acid batteries, electrical and electronic goods, pigments and automotive parts in India and abroad.23

Its lead ingots sell under the JAIN 9997 brand, registered with the London Metal Exchange (LME) and accepted by India's Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) for settling lead contracts.2 It recovers plastic granules from battery and cable scrap, recycles tin, makes lead-tin solders and trades non-ferrous metals.21 Its wholly owned subsidiary Jain Green Technologies recycles aluminium, makes copper anodes (cast copper plates) and is building lines for cathodes (copper refined by electrolysis), wire rods and busbars (thick bars that carry current).456 It has bought scrap from more than 120 countries; in the year to Mar 2026, 39% of its raw material by volume came from India.78

The business began as Jain Metal Rolling Mills, a partnership firm formed in 1953, which started lead refining in 2013 and copper cable recycling in 2018.9 The firm became a company on 25 Feb 2022.10 Its shares listed on NSE and BSE on 1 Oct 2025 after a ₹1,250 crore public issue: ₹500 crore of new shares and ₹750 crore sold by shareholders.118 It belongs to the Chennai-based Jain Metal Group, and its promoter Kamlesh Jain is chairman and managing director.121314
