Stocks under ₹200: shares below 200 rupees on NSE, BSE

The screen has a single filter: the share price at the latest exchange close must be ₹200 or less. A company at exactly ₹200 is included. The table shows the largest matches by market cap first.

The ₹200 line cuts across company size. Market cap is the share price multiplied by the number of shares outstanding, so a company with a very large number of shares can trade below ₹200 and still be big, while a small company can trade far above it. The screen therefore holds large, mid-sized and very small companies together.

Penny stock is a loose term for low-priced shares of small companies, which this screen does not select for.

A low price can come from a company's history rather than its size: a stock split divides one share into several and lowers the price without changing the company's value, a bonus issue does the same, and some companies listed at a low issue price. The one-day and one-year changes on the page are adjusted for splits and bonuses, so a split does not show up as a fall.

P/E is market cap divided by the profit attributable to the company's shareholders over the last twelve months. ROCE, return on capital employed, is operating profit after depreciation as a percentage of net worth plus borrowings. Lease liabilities are left out of capital employed because results filings do not state them.

Price changes do not include dividends. A dash in P/E or ROCE means the figure is not available for that company.

The list is recomputed from each day's closing prices, so a company enters when its price falls to ₹200 or below and leaves when it closes above. The page states the count of matches with its date, and the table loads every match.
