About SEDEMAC Mechatronics
SEDEMAC Mechatronics designs and supplies electronic control units (ECUs) to vehicle and equipment makers in India, the US and Europe.1 An ECU is the electronic brain of a machine: it reads sensors and decides what motors, engines and other parts need to do.1 Its controllers go into engine-powered and electric two- and three-wheelers, electric bicycles and power generators, and it develops and makes them in Pune.234
It reports 2 segments: Mobility, which sells integrated starter generator (ISG, a machine that starts the engine and makes electricity) ECUs, fuel injection ECUs, combinations of both and motor controllers for electric two- and three-wheelers, and Industrial, which sells genset (generator) controllers and fuel injection ECUs.5 Its core technology, sensorless commutation (SLC), runs an electric motor without position sensors; the company says it was the first to design and make SLC-based ISG ECUs.67 It has 2 technical centres in Pune and about 237 engineers at the end of Mar 2026.48
Its origins are in a lab at IIT Bombay in 2007, led by Shashikanth Suryanarayanan, who founded the company with Amit Dixit, Pushkaraj Panse and Manish Sharma.910 Its shares were listed on the NSE and BSE on 11 Mar 2026 through an offer for sale of 8,043,300 shares by existing shareholders.11 Its 4 promoters are Shashikanth Suryanarayanan (Managing Director), Amit Dixit (Joint Managing Director), Manish Sharma (Chief Operating Officer) and Anaykumar Joshi (Chief Technology Officer).912 On 31 Mar 2026 the promoter group held 11,586,000 of its 44,161,500 shares; it has no subsidiaries.1314
