About the Nifty 1D Rate Index
The Nifty 1D Rate Index measures the returns from lending in the overnight market against government securities as collateral, using the overnight rate on the Triparty Repo Dealing System (TREPS). Each day the annual rate is divided by 365 and that day's interest is added to the previous day's value. It is maintained by NSE Indices Limited.
Base date and value
The index has a base date of 3 Jan 2011 and a base value of 1000. It launched on 23 Jun 2016 and is calculated at the end of each day.
