About Shriram Mutual Fund schemes

Shriram Mutual Fund is the mutual fund sponsored by Shriram Credit Company Limited and run by Shriram Asset Management Company Limited. It offers equity, hybrid, debt and passive schemes, and this page lists every live scheme with its NAV, returns, size and fund managers.

Sponsor, trustee and AMC

Shriram Credit Company Limited is the sponsor, the company that sets up the fund as a trust. Shriram Trustees Limited is the trustee company, which holds the investors' assets and oversees the fund, and Shriram Asset Management Company Limited is the asset management company (AMC) that makes the investment decisions.

The mutual fund was constituted as a trust on 27 May 1994 and registered with SEBI on 21 Nov 1994 under code MF/017/94/4. The AMC was incorporated on 27 Jul 1994.

History of the fund house

Shriram Mutual Fund has been registered since 1994, but its live schemes are younger. The oldest, Shriram Aggressive Hybrid Fund, first allotted units on 29 Nov 2013. Shriram Flexi Cap Fund followed in Sep 2018 and Shriram Overnight Fund in Aug 2022.

Schemes it runs

The house runs a few schemes in each of four groups: equity (such as flexi cap, multi sector rotation and the ELSS tax saver), hybrid (such as aggressive hybrid, balanced advantage and multi asset allocation), debt (such as overnight and money market funds) and index or fund of funds products. This page groups the live schemes under those headings and shows funds that closed their offer recently, with their first and latest NAV.

How returns and size are shown

Each scheme row shows its NAV, which is the price of one unit, with 1, 3 and 5 year returns for the plan the scheme's own page leads with, Direct where one exists. Over three and five years the return is shown a year, compounded.

The assets managed figure is the average over the latest quarter, added up across the house's funds. Where one fund holds units of another fund of the same house, that money is counted once.

Fund managers, complaints and votes

The manager table lists each person who runs the house's funds, with the number of funds, the money in them and the date they started. A fund with two managers counts in full for each, so the manager totals add up to more than the house's assets. The page also lists investor complaints for the latest month, how the house voted at company meetings in the latest quarter, and links to the house's factsheet, statement of additional information and annual report.
