About Zerodha Mutual Fund schemes

Zerodha Mutual Fund is the fund house sponsored by the broker Zerodha Broking Limited, with its schemes run by Zerodha Asset Management Private Limited. Registered with SEBI on 11 Aug 2023, it launched its first funds in Oct 2023 and runs index funds, ETFs, fund of funds and life cycle funds.

Sponsor, trustee and asset management company

Zerodha Broking Limited, the sponsor, set the fund up as a trust on 9 Jan 2023, and SEBI registered it under number MF/080/23/06. Zerodha Trustee Private Limited, wholly owned by the broker, is the trustee company: it holds the schemes in trust for investors and oversees the asset management company (AMC).

Zerodha Asset Management Private Limited, incorporated on 20 Dec 2021, is the AMC, the firm that picks the investments and runs the schemes. In May 2026 the broker held 64.53% of it and CASE Platforms, formerly smallcase Technologies, the other 35.47%.

Scheme types

The house runs passive funds: index funds, which copy an index such as the Nifty LargeMidcap 250, and exchange traded funds (ETFs), which track an index or the price of gold or silver and trade on the stock exchange like a share. It also runs fund of funds, which invest in other funds, and Life Cycle funds, which hold a mix of assets that shifts as a chosen end year gets closer. Its range also includes an arbitrage fund and an overnight debt fund. This page groups the live schemes under hybrid, debt, life cycle, and index funds, ETFs and FoFs.

Direct plans and costs

The funds are offered as Direct plans only, with no distributor commission built into the cost. A Direct plan has a lower expense ratio, the yearly fee taken from the fund's assets, than a Regular plan of the same fund would have.

What this page shows

For each live fund the page lists the NAV (net asset value, the price of one unit), returns over 1, 3 and 5 years, size and cost. Returns use the plan the fund's page leads with, Direct where one exists, and the 3 and 5 year figures are annualised, meaning compounded per year. Assets managed is the average money in the house's funds over the quarter, added up across funds, with holdings in its own other funds counted once.

The page also lists the fund managers, with the funds each runs and the money managed. A fund with two managers counts in full for each. Recent new fund offers, investor complaints for the latest month, the house's votes at company meetings for the latest quarter and the house's documents are listed too. Votes are counted once per resolution, however many of the house's funds voted on it.
