Exchange had sought clarification from the Company with respect to recent news item captioned Fire at RIL plant unit leaves 2 dead, 6 injured. In this regard, Company vide email dated November 25, 2016 informed the Exchange that there was an unfortunate flash fire in one of the units under a planned maintenance shutdown in our DTA refinery at Jamnagar. While the Reliance fire brigade extinguished the fire swiftly, this has resulted in injuries to 8 contract workers, who are being provided necessary medical treatment. Inspite of timely medical help provided by Reliance medical staff, unfortunately two of them succumbed to their injuries. All operations of the refinery continue to be normal. Further, incidence has no impact on the operations of the Company.25 Nov · Legal
Exchange has sought clarification from the Company with respect to recent news item captioned Fire at RIL plant unit leaves 2 dead, 6 injured. In this regard, Exchange has advised the Company to provide clarification/confirmation on the news item in detail including the following: a) Whether such event/negotiations/article stated in published news were taking place? If so, you are advised to provide the said information along with the sequence of events in chronological order and the material impact of this article on the Company. b) Whether company is aware of any information that has not been announced to the Exchanges under regulation 30 of Listing Regulations. The response from the Company is awaited.
