News Verification : The media had reports "Kirloskar Oil In Agmt W/Rolls-Royce To Build Gensets For Nuclear Plants". The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company. Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "On 27 January 2015 the Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH (MTU), Germany, for supply of MTU Engines, which will be used by the Company for assembling Emergency Gensets for possible future requirements of Nuclear Power Plants in India. The signing of this MOU was only for purpose of stating intent of co-operation for future business. As on date there is no firm order executed in this regard by the Company with MTU for supply of Emergency Gen sets to Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL). The Company has completed execution of its order of 16 Emergency Gensets to NPCIL in Dec 2014. This order was executed over a period of 3 financial years. The MOU with MTU, holds us in good stead to execute future orders, should the opportunity arise. As such, in the Company's view, this MOU is not price sensitive information and hence not required to be reported under Clause 36 of the Listing Agreement."4 Feb · Legal

Exchange had sought clarification from Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited with respect to a news item captioned "Kirloskar Oil Engines plans to enter US market". The Company has clarified that "The Company had organized a Press Conference on December 16, 2014 for introducing Company's new branding KOEL Green . During said Press conference, while answering queries related to Company s exports, a statement was made towards expanding current export sales in US and other markets. That statement was made with a perspective of increasing exports business in US market. The Company already has its exports presence in the market of Middle East, South Africa, US, Nigeria and Indonesia. This is in normal course of business.
