Mr. Bhaskar Ghose has consented to continue in office until the new incumbent takes over. We also notify that the Board of Directors, in their meeting held today, have approved the appointment of Mr. Romesh Sobti as Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, subject to approval of the Reserve Bank of India. Mr. Romesh Sobti has special knowledge and practical experience of 33 years in banking, and his last assignment has been with ABN Amro Bank as Country Executive - India".

Mr. R. Seshasayee has been appointed, with the approval of Reserve Bank of India, Part-time Non-Executive Chairman of our Bank for a period of two years. Mr. R. Seshasayee, B. Com., A.C.A., has been Managing Director of Ashok Leyland Ltd. since 1998. He had held Directorship of ICICI Bank Ltd. from May 6, 1997 to May 2, 2002 and from May 3, 2002 to October 31, 2003. He also held the position of Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board of ICICI Bank Ltd. during that tenure, Mr. R. Seshasayee has also been President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)
