Exchange had sought clarification from Indiabulls Wholesale Services Limited on July 13, 2016 with respect to recent news item captioned "I-T officials search Indiabulls offices across country". The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company on July 13, 2016. Indiabulls Wholesale Services Limited has vide its email dated July 13, 2016 inter-alia stated, "This is to inform you that the Income Tax Department came to some of our offices to check our books in the normal course. We have extended all assistance and provided all desired information to the team of officials. During the last year, the Indiabulls Group has paid an aggregate of Rs. 782 Cr as income tax and Rs. 372 Cr as service tax to the department. At Indiabulls Group, we follow the ethical and legal standards of the highest order in all our businesses and have robust institutional measures to monitor as well as implement corporate governance of the highest standards. In this regard, the Exchange has advised the Company to provide clarification/confirmation on the news item in detail including the following: Whether you/company are aware of any information that has not been announced to the Exchanges which could explain the aforesaid movement in the trading. The response from the company is awaited.
