Pursuant to an appeal filed by the Company before The Karnataka State Appellate Authority at Bangalore Under Water & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Acts, 1974 & 1981, the Appellate Authority has passed an interim order granting stay of the impugned orders of the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) refusing "consents to operate and directing closure of industrial operations". Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has ordered closure of industrial operations in the Company's plant in Bangalore till further orders, alleging non-compliance with the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The closure order has been complied with. The Company being aggrieved by the alleged non compliance and the consequent closure order is exploring all available legal options.
