Tata Steel Limited had informed the Exchange that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on July 18, 2007. The Company has now informed the Exchange that: "Arising from a combination of factors, including a delay in receiving approval from the Government of India exempting the Company from attaching the accounts of its subsidiaries in the Annual Accounts and the inclusion of substantial additional information because of the Centenary Year of the Company, there was a delay in the printing and despatch of the 2007 Annual Report to the shareholders. Consequently, it is possible that many shareholders may not have received the Notice convening the AGM on 18th July 2007 together with the Annual Report for the year ended 31st March, 2007, as per the time limit prescribed by the Companies Act, 1956. Accordingly in the best interest of the shareholders, the Board of Directors has rescheduled the AGM on Wednesday, 29th August 2007 at 3.30 p.m. at Birla Matushri Sabhagar, Mumbai".
