Macmillan India Limited had informed the Exchange regarding the in-principle approval given by the Board of Directors to acquire majority shareholding of Frank Brothers & Company (Publishers) Ltd subject to completion of necessary legal and financial due diligence and entering into definitive agreements. The Company has now informed the Exchange that "Macmillan India Ltd has now completed the acquisition of 80% shareholding of Frank Brothers and Company (Publishers) Ltd, with an option to acquire the balance shareholding by 31st March 2009 at a mutually agreed valuation. This acquisition will enable Macmillan India to gain a leadership position in educational publishing in India".
