Exchange had sought clarification from Kaveri Seed Company Limited with respect to a news item captioned "Kaveri Seed Promoters Plan Stake Sale". The Company has clarified that "The promoters of the company keep exploring certain projects in their individual capacity on a periodic basis. The quantum of funds required to do these projects is also at an exploratory stage. Should these projects be taken up by promoters in their individual capacity, promoters may explore partial stake sale of Kaveri Seeds to funds these projects. Spurt in Volume : Substantial increase in trading volumes have been observed in Kaveri Seed Company Limited. The Exchange, in order to ensure that investors have latest relevant information about the company and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company. Kaveri Seed Company Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated,"We do not have information as to the reasons thereof for increase in trading volume of the company."
