Ltd has informed the Exchange that "We have received a disclosure from Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) under Regulation 7 of the SEBI (SAST) Regulations, 1997 indicating the increase in their shareholding in BPCL, from 36,053,684 equity shaes of Rs.10 each at 9.972% to 36,533,771 equity shares of Rs.10 each at 10.105%., vide their letter dated 20.11.2009 (received on 27.11.2009).
