Exchange has sought clarification from Zydus Wellness Limited with respect to a news item captioned "Novartis files lawsuit against Zydus". The Company has clarified that "this matter pertains to Zydus Wellness Limited. In fact this matter is related to Cadila Healthcare Limited, which is a flagship Company of Zydus Cadila Group of Companies. The matter pertains to the filing of a product by the Company with USFDA for getting an approval of the same for marketing in the US market. When any Company files the product on the ground that the patent of the present patent holder is either not valid or is not infringed, it is normally expected that the patent holder will challenge the claim of the Company. For many listed Indian Pharma Companies having marketing in the US territory this is an usual matter. There is no material impact on the Company at all because this pertains to the products which are applied for approval and are not presently sold in US market. No other disclosures are required, as it is a routine process".
