Exchange had sought clarification from Venus Remedies Limited with respect to news item captioned "Venus ties up with Lupin to sell antibiotic drug in Oz.". The Company has clarified that "The Company is already exporting the product Meropenem to 35 countries. This product is a generic product and one of our 75 product basket and after this market authorization approval, company plans to market the drug by the third quarter of this year in Australia and company has tied up with Lupin to sell this drug in Australia. This news/article is important as a showcase of our achievement. However, this has a moderate economic impact on our organization because our business prospects from sale of Meropenem in Australia market would be less than 1% of total revenue. Meropenem is an off-patented antibacterial agent of the carbapenem class of antibiotics that caters to diseases with a broad range of serious infections caused by single or multiple susceptible bacteria in both adults and children".
