"Company has declared the results of postal ballot conducted pursuant to Section 192A of the Companies Act, 1956 read with the Companies (Passing of Resolution by Postal Ballot) Rules, 2001, wherein, by way of special resolution(s), the members of the Company, accorded its approval to make loan, investment to/in other bodies corporate, to give guarantee or provide any security in connection with loan or loans made by any bank or financial institution or co-operative society to the farmers who are suppliers of cane and to cane harvesting and transport providers and in connection with the fund bases/non fund based facilities to other bodies corporate, upto the limit of Rs.1200 Crores, outstanding at any one time, pursuant to the provisions of Section 372A of the Companies Act, 1956". The results of Postal ballot were declared on 21st March, 2007 on the basis of Report submitted by Mr. Gururaj P Mutalik, Scrutinizer. Further the Company has submitted a copy of result of postal ballot.
