Clarification by Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited Substantial increase in trading volumes have been observed in Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited. The Exchange, in order to ensure that investors have latest relevant information about the company and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the company. Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We are not aware of any news due to which there has been significant increase in the volume of MTNL shares across exchanges in the recent past. As and when any official news/ information is available we will inform the exchanges quickly, in compliance with regulation 30 of the listing Regulations".
