1,62,200 (One lac sixty two thousand two hundred) options granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employee Stock Option Scheme V (10,000 options) and Employee Stock Option Scheme VI (1,52,200 options) of the Company have lapsed pursuant to the decision taken by the Remuneration & Compensation Committee of the Board Directors of the Company at its meeting held on April 27, 2013. The Committee also decided in the said Meeting that for the benefit of the Option grantees it is proposed to extend the exercise period of the 13,98,500 Stock Options and 32,86,800 stock options which were granted under the Company's Employee Stock Option Scheme V and Employee Stock Option Scheme VI from one year to three years. The Committee had earlier granted 2,75,000 stock options under Employee Stock Option Scheme V and 8,49,000 stock options under Employee Stock Option Scheme VI. Out of the same, 1,85,000 options have lapsed in case of Scheme V and 3,51,200 options have lapsed in case of Scheme VI. These lapses have already been reported to the Exchanges earlier. Both these stock options were granted at exercise price of Rs. 208.70 per stock option. Due to the considerable fall in the share price of the Company subsequent to that date, the price has become unattractive to the option holders.
