Vide its letter dated September 19, 2011 that "Mr. Rajan Kashyap, Director of the Company, was due to retire by rotation at the aforesaid AGM. Due to his pre-occupation, Mr. Kashyap had not offered himself for re-appointment and accordingly, he has ceased to be a Director on the Board of the Company on conclusion of the aforesaid AGM. Fortis Healthcare Limited had informed the Exchange that the members of the Company, by way of Postal Ballot, have passed the Special Resolution under Section 21 of the Companies Act, 1956, for changing the name of the Company from "Fortis Healthcare Limited" to "Fortis Healthcare (India) Limited", by overwhelming majority. The Company has now informed the Exchange that subsequent to the application filed by the Company with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Registrar of Companies, NCT of Delhi & Haryana, has conferred its approval to the change of name of the Company to "Fortis Healthcare (India) Limited" w.e.f. March 07, 2011.
