  This has reference to our communication dated 19/12/17 informing that the Non-Executive Employees Union of DCI has informed that the strike will take place for three days from 20/12/17 till 22/12/17. 2. We have to inform you that the non executives were on strike for three days form 20/12/17 till 22/12/17. They were also supported by the some executives who remained on leave for these days. 3. However, the management ensured that the dredging operations were not effected and the dredgers were working normally during the period.. 4. Now the Non-Executive Employees Union of DCI has informed that the strike will now take place for three days from 20/12/17 till 22/12/17. 3. INTERNATIONAL CONTRACT FOR DREDGING IN PUSSUR CHANNEL FROM MONGLA PORT TO RAMPAL POWER PLANT, BANGLADESH IN GLOBAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING.".DCI is the premier dredging company in India and is the only PSU company offering dredging services. Established in 1976, the Company provides dredging and allied services to Ports, Indian Navy etc.DCI has been exploring foreign markets to expand its market base outside India. As a part of this, DCI has participated in an International tender for Dredging in Pussur channel, Bangladesh invited by Mongla Port Authority, Bangladesh during June 2016. 12 parties have participated in the pre-qualification stage out of which 5 parties were qualified for next stage of bidding including DCI. Of the 5 pre-qualified parties 4 have submitted price proposals for undertaking the wok. Price proposals were opened on 25.01.2017 in which DCI is the successful lowest bidder. The value of the Contract is Rs.102 Cr. payable 50% in US DOLLARS and 50% in Bangladesh Takka. The quantum of dredging is around 3.88 Million Cum to be completed within 15 months. Earlier, the Company had executed dredging contract in foreign countries like Bahrain, Sri Lanka and Taiwan.The Mongla Port, Bangladesh contract is the first international contract secured by DCI thorugh global competitive bidding.
