About NJ Mutual Fund schemes

NJ Mutual Fund is the mutual fund of NJ India Invest Private Limited, a mutual fund distributor that set up its own fund house. Its schemes are run by NJ Asset Management Private Limited and overseen by NJ Trustee Private Limited, and cover equity, hybrid and debt schemes.

Sponsor, trustee and AMC

NJ India Invest Private Limited is the sponsor, the company that set up the fund as a trust. NJ Trustee Private Limited is the trustee company, which holds the investors' assets and oversees the fund. NJ Asset Management Private Limited is the asset management company (AMC) that makes the investment decisions.

The mutual fund was constituted as a trust on 11 Nov 2020 and registered with SEBI on 30 Apr 2021. Its first scheme, NJ Balanced Advantage Fund, opened for subscription on 8 Oct 2021. The AMC was incorporated on 21 Oct 2005. The sponsor is also a mutual fund distributor, a business that sells fund houses' schemes to investors.

Schemes it runs

The equity schemes are NJ Flexi Cap Fund, NJ Value Fund, NJ Momentum Fund and NJ ELSS Tax Saver Fund. The hybrid schemes are NJ Balanced Advantage Fund and NJ Arbitrage Fund, and the debt scheme is NJ Overnight Fund. Each category links to its own page.

How returns and size are shown

Each scheme row shows its NAV, the price of one unit, and returns over the periods the scheme has existed for. Returns beyond one year are a yearly compounded rate, not the total over the period. A scheme younger than a period shows a dash for it.

The assets managed figure is the average over the latest quarter, summed across the house's funds. Where one fund holds units of another fund of the same house, that money is counted once.

Fund managers, complaints and votes

The manager table lists each person who runs a scheme, with the number of funds and the date they began managing one. The page also shows investor complaints received, resolved and still open at the end of the latest month, and how the house's funds voted at investee companies' meetings in the latest quarter.
