About Bank of India Mutual Fund schemes

Bank of India Mutual Fund is the fund house sponsored by Bank of India, a public sector bank founded in 1906. Its schemes are run by Bank of India Investment Managers Private Limited. It offers equity, hybrid and debt funds, listed here with NAV, returns, size and cost.

Sponsor, trustee and asset management company

A mutual fund in India is a trust. The sponsor sets it up, a trustee company holds the investors' money for them, and an asset management company (AMC) makes the investment decisions. Here the sponsor is Bank of India. The trustee is Bank of India Trustee Services Private Limited, and the AMC is Bank of India Investment Managers Private Limited, which the bank wholly owns.

The trust deed is dated 16 Nov 2007, and the fund registered with SEBI on 31 Mar 2008. The AMC was incorporated on 13 Aug 2007 as Bharti AXA Investment Managers. It took the name BOI AXA Investment Managers in May 2012. Bank of India became the sole sponsor on 21 Dec 2021, when it bought all the shares of the AMC and the trustee company from AXA, after which both took the Bank of India name.

Schemes it runs

The house runs equity funds, hybrid funds and debt funds, and the page groups them that way. Equity covers large, mid, small, flexi and multi cap, ELSS tax saver and themed funds such as consumption and manufacturing. Hybrid funds include balanced advantage and arbitrage. Debt funds run from overnight and liquid to short term, money market and credit risk.

A fund whose new fund offer closed recently is listed in a separate table, with its first NAV (the unit price after the offer) beside the latest NAV.

What the fund tables show

Each fund row gives its NAV, which is the price of one unit, returns over 1, 3 and 5 years, its size and its cost. Returns are for the plan the fund's own page leads with, the Direct plan where there is one. Three and five year returns are annualised, meaning the yearly rate that compounds to the total gain.

Cost is the expense ratio, the yearly percentage the fund charges to run itself.

Fund managers

The managers table lists each manager with the number of funds they run now and the money in those funds, taken from each fund's latest month. A fund with two managers counts in full for each.

Assets, complaints and voting

Assets managed is the average money in the house's funds over the latest quarter, added across funds.

The page also shows investor complaints for the latest month: how many were received, resolved and left open. Proxy voting is shown for the latest quarter: company meetings, resolutions voted on, and the resolutions where at least one fund voted against or abstained.
